Cable Prepaid Talk 7’n Save… The more you talk, the more you save!

Cable & Wireless, the leading telecommunications company in the Seychelles announced today (25 July 2003) that as part of its continuous effort in making its customers ‘winners’ by delivering more choice and value, the company will be launching an innovative Prepaid pricing plan namely, ’Cable Prepaid Talk ‘n Save’ on Monday 28th July ‘03.

This new package will benefit people who love to talk by offering massive discounts of up to 40%, 50%, 60% and even more, depending on the length of the calls made. Cable Prepaid Talk ’n Save (will be available alongside the existing Cable Prepaid plan thus offering customers more choice. In fact ‘choice’ is what Cable Prepaid Save n’ Talk is all about. For the first time Prepaid Customers in Seychelles shall be able to choose the time of the day or night they wish to call and still benefit from discounted call rates.

Unlike conventional Prepaid plans as currently available in Seychelles, Cable Prepaid Talk ’n Save is based on an innovative two-tier pricing plan whereby a call is charged in two parts. Part 1 (Tier 1) is the first minute of the call and is charged at SR3.99 and Part 2 (Tier 2), which represents the period after the first minute (irrespective of the duration of the call) is charged in steps of 3 minutes at SR2.85 per step.

For example: a seven-minute call shall be charge as follows:

  • tier 1: Sr3.99
  • tier 2: Sr2.85 x 2 = SR5.70
  • total Cost (Tier 1+Tier 2) = Sr9.69 (Cost Savings of up to 65%)

Please note this plan shall be applicable to national calls only. International call charges will not change with respect to existing rates.

Similarly to Cable Prepaid, Cable Prepaid Talk ’n Save will automatically deduct call charges from the Prepaid account. As usual, there are no bills, monthly rentals or fixed term contracts to worry about.

First time customers wishing to use Cable Pre paid Talk ’n Save will have to buy a new starter pack. This will be on sale in all of the company’s customer services centres on Mahe at Victoria, Beau Vallon and Anse Royale, on Praslin and La Digue.

As from Monday 28th July, a special promotion will also be launched whereby mobile users, connected to any GSM network, can switch to the Talk ’n Save package for free up until September 2003.
