SR10,000 donated to the Seychelles Round Table in support of Regatta 2004

Cable & Wireless Seychelles has done it again this year! In its effort to continuously work in partnership with the community, Cable & Wireless Seychelles made a donation of SR10,000 to the organisers of the annual Regatta event, Seychelles Round Table.

It’s now over 10 years since Cable &ireless Seychelles has been continuously sponsoring the event which will this year take place on the 31st of July and 1st of August.

Commenting on Cable & Wireless’ long support of the Regatta, Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Houston handed over the cheque to the Seychelles Round Table chairman, Mr. Andy Moncherry at the Exiles Club.

"We have a long history with the Regatta and we feel part of the Seychelles Round Table and Regatta story. It’s always a worthy cause", said Geoff Houston, CEO, Cable & Wireless Seychelles. He went on to highlight the event’s business implications saying: "We’ve always found that as a business we’ve also got a bit out of it ourselves as it’s good exposure for our products".

The donation went towards the manufacturing of Regatta 2004 T-shirts, sales of which are to contribute towards the Round Table’s refurbishment of the Ste. Elizabeth’s orphanage.
