Cable & Wireless' acquisition of Atlas successfully concluded!

Cable & Wireless (Seychelles) Ltd. ("Cable & Wireless") announced today (4 January 2006) that the purchase of Atlas (Seychelles) Limited ("Atlas"), a Seychellois company providing Internet Services, was successfully concluded on the 31st of December 2005.

The completion of the transaction follows a recent communiqué from Cable & Wireless announcing the agreement reached to purchase Atlas.

Commenting on behalf of Cable & Wireless, Chief Executive Officer, Usman Saadat, said: "We are delighted that all final formalities ran smoothly enabling the successful completion of the deal on the expected date. The 1st of January 2006 saw Cable & Wireless become the new, legal owners of Atlas. We are excited at the prospect of combining the strengths of both companies in our strive to offer our customers a full range of service, over a period of time, that ultimately exceeds their expectations."

Cable & Wireless & Atlas are currently operating as two separate trading entities. There are no immediate operational changes for Atlas customers with business continuing as usual. Existing and potential Atlas customers are advised to continue to submit their queries as well as obtain and pay for service through the usual channels of Atlas.
