uChat - giving u the rooms 2 chat!

Today, 21st of May 2008, Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS) announced the launch of uChat, its brand new SMS based chat service.

uChat allows a postpaid or prepaid customer to "chat" with other CWS mobile users about different topics, e.g. music, movies, football, etc. Customers can join one of many chat rooms available or choose to create their own private rooms and invite their friends. uChat is clever, easy to use, fast and discreet!

All first time users need to register to uChat before logging into a chat room. To register, simply send "Reg <chat name>" to 111, e.g. Reg Akon. Customers can choose any chat name they wish using up to 15 characters.

All uChat SMS will be charged at just 10 cents per message (excluding GST) up until the 27th of May 2008. From the 28th of May 2008, messages will be charged at 20 cents each (excluding GST) or 24 cents (including GST). uChat leaflet are available from all Cable & Wireless Customer Services Centres and customers can also call 100 for more information.
