CWS shows drive by sponsoring karting GP

The karting Mid-Season Grand Prix sponsored by Cable & Wireless, took place on Sunday 19th July 2009 at the Champions Park, Roche Caiman.

The day was warm and pleasant, creating the perfect conditions for the racers. First on the track were the ladies and after 4 first place finishes, Karishma Moolraj took the first place in that category. She also went further to win the formula GX class with similar performances, outsmarting even the male drivers.

In the Juniors class, Yannick Gabriel was the winner ahead of 8 racers. The cadet and Novice categories were won by Christian Port–Louis and Darrel Pool respectively. In Formula A class, the competition was stiffer and at the end of the day it was Preston Junior who came out victorious.

The organizers summed up the competition as one of their best with interesting races and high level of participation. As the main sponsor, Cable & Wireless reps were present to support the participants and hand out the prizes to the winners. The company brand was evident all over the park and track and it received acknowledgement as a long-standing supporter of Seychelles Karting.
