Seychelles goes Isurf with Cable & Wireless

Isurf is the latest and fastest Prepaid Wireless Internet service in the Seychelles, introduced by Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS). The service which basically allows wireless access to the internet by means of any wireless-enabled devices such as laptops, mobiles, blackberry, PDA etc… was officially launched in a ceremony at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Beach Resort on Wednesday 17th February.

The service caters for a large customer segment with primary focus on the needs of Seychelles’ hospitality industry. Cable & Wireless is delighted Berjaya at Beau Vallon Bay, a much valued partner since its beginnings in Seychelles is the first hotel to benefit from the service. This state–of–the–art wireless system allows hotel guests and casual visitors to access the Internet by buying airtime cards- available in 1hour and 24 hours denominations from the resort’s reception. The cards come with added benefit of allowing guests to log out whenever they wish and keep their remaining credit to use another time within the validity period after the first login.

The Chief Executive of CWS – Mr. Charles Hammond said that, going forward, the partnership with the Seychelles’ Hospitality industry will expand to other establishments and public areas around the islands. “This is just the beginning, as CWS will continue to invest and with the benefits of the new tax reform, provide services that will suit the needs of each and every individual” he added.

Customers who want to enjoy the Isurf service can purchase Isurf cards at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Beach Resort (other establishments and distribution outlets to come). Isurf cards cost SR100 for 1hr Wi-Fi service and SR500 for 24hrs Wi-Fi service. To enjoy the Isurf experience customers are advised have to:

• Look for the Isurf wireless signal
• Connect to the Isurf network
• Open their browser , which will automatically take them to the Isurf portal
• Use the Isurf card to login
