Roaming in the Seychelles
If you are visiting the beautiful islands of the Seychelles, International roaming is a great way to stay in touch. If your network operator at home has a roaming agreement with Cable & Wireless Seychelles, you'll be able to use your mobile phone or BlackBerry® to make and receive calls using our network.
Roaming Abroad
If you are a Cable & Wireless Seychelles customer and want to stay in contact when outside the Seychelles, this service allows you to do just that. International Roaming gives you the ability to take your mobile phone or BlackBerry® and use it on the network of an operator abroad.
How do I apply for international Roaming?
You may apply for international Roaming by visiting any one of our Customer Services Centres. The service will be activated within 1 working day. International Roaming service is free of registration charges and monthly subscriptions.
Do I have to pay a deposit for the international Roaming Service?
No, you do not need to pay a deposit
How do I retrieve my Voicemail while roaming?
Simply make an international call back to Seychelles to access your mailbox by dialling +248 511511. Then enter your mobile phone number, press #, followed by your Cable Voicemail password and press # again. Note that you will be charged for this international call.
Can I see the number of my caller on my mobile phone screen while roaming?
As Caller ID information is not internationally exchanged and standardised, you will not usually see you caller ID's number while roaming, although some operators allow for this.

Making calls in the Seychelles
Local Calls:
In Seychelles, all national telephone numbers are 6 digits long. To make a local call, simply dial the 6 digit number you require from your mobile phone in the normal way.
International calls:
When making an international call, please use the international dialling format:
(International access code + Country code + area code + phone number)
for example:

Call Charges
Outgoing Calls:
When you make a local or international call in the Seychelles, you will be charged the applicable Cable & Wireless Roaming rates. These charges will be sent to your operator abroad for billing.
Incoming Calls:
When receiving a call, you will be charged for the international re-routing of the call from your home country to the Seychelles, regardless of where the call was originated. The charge for this re-routing will be dependent on your local operator's international rate to Seychelles.
