What is uChat?

uChat is an SMS service that allows you to chat with other Cable & Wireless mobile users about a variety of interesting topics. Register and choose to join one of the many fun chatrooms or create your own private chat room and invite your friends. Get chatting easily, quickly and remain totally anonymous!

How do I get started?

• To register to uChat, simply type:

  Reg <chat name> e.g. Reg Akon

  and send the SMS to 111

• To login to uChat type:

  Login

  and send to 111. This will take you to a "General Room" where you can send keywords to 111 for different functions. Click here to download the uChat userguide including the full keyword list.

  You can also SMS Help to 111 for the full list of available keywords.

• To start chatting, you must join a chat room. SMS the keyword Rooms to 111 to see our list of chat rooms.

• Joining a chat room is easy. Just SMS:

  Login <room number or room name> e.g. Login 1 or Login friendship

  and send the SMS to 111

• To start chatting, simply send all your SMS messages to 111 and they will be sent to all users in the chat room you are currently logged into.

What is me2u TopUp?

me2u TopUp allows Cable Prepaid and postpaid customers to transfer credit to other Cable Prepaid customer accounts anytime, anywhere.

It's easy, quick and flexible. You can top up any amount between SR1 and SR100. You can even set up your phone to transfer credit on specific days of the month. There are no service charges, no registration fees. You only pay for the value of the credit transferred.

How do I get started?

To register for me2u TopUp service, all you have to do is send an SMS to 144 in the following format:

Reg <secret code> e.g. Reg dav123

Choose your own secret code of 4 to 11 characters.

Upon registration a system pasword will be sent to you in an SMS and you can immediately start to transfer credit. This can be done in two ways.

Option 1: Using SMS

Send an SMS to 144 in the following format:

Transfer <Password> <receiving mobile number> <amount> e.g. Transfer 245245 57xxxx 55

Option 2: Using USSD menus

1. Dial #144# to access the main menu
2. Select option 2 "me2u Direct" by pressing the answer/ reply key then enter 2 followed by ok/send

If you're a Cable Prepaid customer you also have the choice of topping up your account using services offered by the Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) and Barclays Bank.

Barclays Bank offers an ATM voucher top up service and MCB offers a variety of eletronic ways to top up known as MCB refill, which includes an ATM facility .
